Moments to remember...

I have been such a bad blogger lately. I feel like I have no news, and yet I blog in order to document my children's early years. So, some new things I want to remember...

Jasper is such a good reader (I know I've said it before, but it is so true). She got all 'Advanced Proficient' on her report card for reading (which is the highest grade). I am frequently amazed by all the words she knows by sight and she can sound out almost anything. Her teacher told me a cute story about her that I want to remember...

She had just picked out a new library book and asked the teacher if she could read it to the class. She gets so animated in her reading, she is usually great at following the punctuation so it sounds very fluent and she often does voices, too. Well, she must have pulled out all the stops when she read to her class because her Teacher said it was the cutest thing. She would show the class the pictures after reading the page and say "Look at this, isn't this funny?" and all the kids would laugh on queue.

I wish I had been there to see this, but I can imagine it. She has the funniest personality. I'm so glad she is mine and am so proud to be her Mom.
Aram is at such a fun stage right now. He has started being more cuddly. Aric and I love it, he climbs up in our laps now and will just sit there while we hug him to us. This is very unusual for him. He also learned some new words that he uses to verbalize his favorite things. 'Tickle, tickle, tickle' if he wants to play with you, 'Go, go, go' if he wants to do something not available wherever you are, and 'Bah-bah' if he wants to leave or go outside. It is fun to hear him talking more now. I think he will get less whiny and sweeter as he learns to verbalize more. He still loves anything that has wheels on it, and carries his toys around saying 'Bagoom, bagoom', which sounds just like an engine revving when he says it.

Sometimes I am sad that he is growing up so fast, but it is too fun to be sad for long.

He looks so big climbing down those stairs! Too cute! That is amazing that jasper is doing so well. Hopefully Teryk doesn't inherit my poor reading skills haha.
